      MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS

⦁ App for middle-school aged speech students: Guess ‘em (free)
⦁ Download Guess ‘em app on two devices as you will be playing against an opponent (family member). Most middle school age students should be familiar with this game. It is a digital version of the board game Guess Who (if you have Guess Who, play that). This game targets higher-level language skills such as: deductive reasoning, comparing/contrasting, drawing conclusions, probability) as well as attributes and asking/answering questions. Many of you have one of these skills as your goal. Use the highlighted red square as the person your opponent must guess.
⦁ Make a Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich blindfolded (Parent approval needed)
⦁ Grab a willing family member and have them wear a blindfold while you give them directions on how to make a PB&J sandwich. Think about all the steps involved including from where to get the tools needed to describing each step with detail.

      **ACOUSTIC PIONEER**

Just a reminder, if you were provided a code by your SLP in the first packet that came home, your child can access a free game to work on his/her auditory processing skills. This can be done every day if they want to and will last for 20-30 minutes each time. If you need help accessing the game, please contact your SLP.
