• Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

    Program Details

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is a free program available to children (newborn until age 5) that provides one book each month by mail to children who are registered. The Mexico Academy & Central School District is proud to be among the schools in Oswego County to offer this literacy initiative!

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library will help you read with your child. There are many reasons parents do not read to their child, but we can eliminate one of them. Every child will have books of their very own, at no cost to you, thanks to Literacy Coalition of Oswego County and Dolly Parton.

Each month a new, carefully-selected book will be mailed in your child’s name directly to your home. He/she can look forward to new and exciting reading adventures from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library until he/she turns five years old as long as you remain a resident of Mexico Academy & Central School District. A child will remain enrolled in the program if they move to another area that offers the program (such as all nine Oswego County school districts as well as those in Onondaga and Cayuga Counties). Check to see if your new area receives Imagination Library, as your address can be changed electronically!

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a FREE GIFT to our children! All you have to do is read to them.
