The Mexico Academy & Central School District has updated its lead testing guidelines to align with the New York State Department of Health’s new, lower minimum threshold for action. The district has identified areas in each building that will undergo remediation. Areas requiring action are those with lead levels above 5 parts per billion (ppb), a threshold previously set at 15 ppb.
