10/22/25 Today is National Color Day

 

Last night the boys varsity soccer team defeated Cortland 3-1 in the first round of sectionals to advance to the Quarterfinals. Scoring for the Tigers were Toby Caroccio, Anthony Cutuli, and Kyrom Johnson. In net with 9 saves was Dylan Perlet. Great job boys!

 

Last night the Girls Varsity Soccer team traveled to Carthage to take on the # 7 Comets in the first round of the Class A sectionals.  During a hard-fought battle, Allie Poissant placed a beautiful shot past the keeper with 8 minutes left in the match and the Tigers walked away with a win.  In the goal for the girls, Caprice Cutuli had 6 saves.  The girls travel to CBA on Friday night for the next round.

 

Congratulations to the Mexico Boys Cross Country Team on clinching the OHSL Liberty League Title last night in Cazenovia with a victory over Homer. Way to go League Champs! The Tigers were lead by Collin Fitzgerald in first, KK Johnson in second, Aiden Bartlett in third, Simeon O’Neil in fourth, and Kole Platek in fifth. Scoring sixth and seventh for the Tigers were freshman Steven Tripp and Aiden Silverio. Special congratulations to Danaia Aubertine and Lilah Donath for achieving personal bests for the Girls last night. The Tigers have their League Meet on Wednesday, October 29th, and their Sectional Meet on Saturday, November 8th. Go Tigers!!

 

Any boy interested in being on this year's swimming & diving team: there is an informational meeting at 2:15 today on the pool deck! 

 

Attention Math Honor Society members: there is a meeting today in Mrs. Sweeting's room after school. 

 

Spanish honor society members: there will be a meeting tomorrow 10/23 after school in Sra Pallotta's room.  All members should plan on attending.

The first meeting of Travel Club will be this Friday, 10/24 at 2:15 in room 106.   All students who are traveling to Greece should attend, as well as any student who is interested in travel.  The club will elect officers and discuss our first fundraiser at this meeting.  Please see Mrs. Davis beforehand if you are not able to make it.

Students, you must check in and get permission from your classroom teacher before coming to the Tiger Terrace so you are not late to class.  The Tiger Terrace does not give out passes. 

 

Interested in an Agriculture career, sign up to attend the Ag Day Expo at CiTi 10/30 9:00-10:00 am. This event will introduce you to agricultural education pathways, showcase career opportunities and offer interactive presentations & networking with professionals. To sign up, your parent must complete the permission form on Parent Square. The deadline to sign up is Sunday, October 26th. See your counselor with any questions.

10/20/25  Today is National Suspender’s Day

 

The Boys’ Cross Country Team took third place at the VVS Invitational on Saturday. Scoring first for the Tigers was Colling Fitzgerald with a 17:24. Second, was KK Johnson with a 17:50. Third, was Aiden Bartlett with an 18:26. Fourth, was Simeon O’Neil with a 19:38. And fifth, was Aiden Silverio with a 19:54. Scoring 6th and 7th was Kole Platek with a 20:16, and Jack Deckman with a 21:04. The Tigers travel to Cazenovia tomorrow evening for their last League meet and a chance to win their third consecutive League title. Go Tigers.

10/15/25 Today is National Mushroom Day

 

Last nights modified tennis match against Fulton …. The girls won 3-2 with Ashlynn Searles winning her singles match 8-2, Lanna Redhead and Addy Cooper won at first doubles 8-4 and Emma Brown and Georgette Severson winning their match 8-0. Terra Gagnier and Layla Cooper had a close 7-7 match only losing by one point in a tie breaker. 

 

Math tutoring today 10/15 will take place with Mr. Powers in room 112, as room 223 will be closed for window replacement.

10/9/25 Today is World Mental Health Day

 

Congratulations to the Tigers Boys Cross Country Team on their win against Westhill last night. Special congrats to Collin Fitzgerald on breaking the course record with a 15:02! Go Tigers!!

The Tiger Terrace is closed to students today. 

 

Due to the go home early drill today, there will be no 3-5 tutoring this afternoon. Tutoring will resume as normal on Tuesday.

Last night, the boys soccer team defeated Solvay in a tough match, 3 to 2. Scoring for the Tigers was Tyler Huynh, Anthony Cutuli, and Toby Caroccio. In goal with 9 saves was Dylan Perlet. Great jobs boys!

The sophomore class meeting is today 10/7 at 2:15 pm in Senora Glover's room 111.  All sophomores are invited!

10/6/25  Today is National Inbox Zero Day

 

Congratulations to the Boys Cross Country Team on their first-place victory at the Tully Invitational on Saturday. The Tigers raced in a competitive division and still came out on top. Scoring first for the Tigers was Kaedrian Johnson. Second was Collin Fitzgerald. Third was Aiden Bartlett. Fourth was Braydon Beasley. Fifth was Kole Playtek. And scoring 6th and 7th for the Tigers was Jack Deckman and Kolton Pultorak. The Tigers travel to Westhill on Wednesday for a League battle. Go Tigers!

 

There is a FOR Club meeting today at 2:15 in Miss Brown's Room (104). All current members should attend but everyone is welcome! Stop by to learn more about FOR Club.

 

The sophomore class meeting is Tuesday, October 7th, in Senora Glover's room 111.  All sophomores are invited!

 

For this school year, weekly there will be Math tutoring every Tues-Thurs from 3-5. Tues. & Thurs.’s in room 215 with Mr. Haskins and Wed.’s in room 223 with Mr. Powers.  Starting today, 3-5 math tutoring will also be offered on Mondays with Mr. Powers in room 223.

Today there are no CiTi classes due to their Staff Development Day. 

Students who did not turn in a completed permission form to be dismissed during your CiTi class-time need to report to Study Hall:

AM Report at 8:15 am to Auditorium Study hall until 11:05

PM Report to Cafeteria Study hall for 4th & 5th Period

 

AV Club has their first meeting in the Hungerford Library today 2:15-2:45.  Come meet the advisor and learn more about the club.  If you cannot attend, write your name down on the orange signup sheet outside of the main office.

Powderpuff announcement:  Junior and Senior players and coaches that are going to be involved in powderpuff- there will be an important meeting today after school in Mr. Andrews’ room (205).  We will go over rules/expectations, practices, etc… We need as many participants in attendance as possible.  The meeting will be from 215-245.  See you then!

  • If a phone/device is seen out in class or the hallway, it will be collected and brought to the AP office.
  • A parent/guardian must pick up the device.

10/2/25  Today is National Fried Scallops Day

 

Congrats to the Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams on their victory over CBA last night. The boys were led by Collin Fitzgerald and Kaedrian Johnson. Finishing out the top five were Braydon Beasley, Aiden Bartlett, and Aiden Silverio. The Girls were led by Ellie Bryant. Finishing out the top five were Madison Greenway, Danaia Aubertine, Lilah Donath, and Ileana Mannino. The Tigers travel to Tully this Saturday. Go Tigers!!

 

The boys golf team ended their golf season last night by shooting their best score of the year in a tough loss to Westhill. A special congratulations to seniors Sammy Britton, Lucas Parkhurst, Tanner Bellomo and Noah Caroccio who have completed their Mexico golf careers. Please wish them luck as they now look to qualify for the P.G.A.

 

JROTC cadets, Unselfishness practice is today! Awards and promotions today at 2:15. Come support Come support your teammates!

The Volleyball Team is hosting a Pink Out game today, they will be taking on Homer. JV game starts at 4:30 pm Varsity to follow. would like to see you all dressed in PINK showing support for a great cause.  We hope to see you all there! and

Last night, the boys soccer team defeated Cortland 3-2 in double OT. The tigers battled from behind with an unassisted goal from Tyler Huynh and two goals from Anthony Cutili both assisted by Ian Bigelow. Dylan Perlet kept the game close with 3 saves. Come support the soccer team on Senior night vs Solvay on Monday!

9/29/25  Today is National Confucius Day

Congratulations to the Mexico Tigers Boys Cross Country Team on their second place finish out of 20 schools at the EJ Hermann Invitational in Utica over the weekend. The Tigers scored well even without some of their key runners. Collin Fitzgerald led the Tigers with an overall second-place finish. Not far behind was Kaedrian Johnson with a 4th place finish. Aiden Bartlett finished out the top 10 with a 9th place finish. Simeon O’Neil scored fourth for the Tigers, followed by Jack Deckman in fifth, Aiden Silverio scoring 6th, and Sam Gillespy with the 7 spot. The boys compete in Marcellus on Wednesday, and the Tully Invitational on Saturday. Go Tigers!

 

Congratulations to the Mexico Varsity Football team on their victory over Sherburne-Earlville 63-12.  Brayden Mack set a school record with 7 overall touchdowns.  Mexico is in 1st place in their league.  Thank you  everyone who showed up to support us Friday night!

9/25/25  Today is National Comic Book Day

 

Congratulations to the Mexico Tigers Boys and Girls Cross Country Team for beating Cortland last night at home. The Tiger boys swept the top five spots. Collin Fitzgerald led the team to victory by scoring first place. Following in 2nd through 5ht place was Kaedrian Johnson, Aiden Bartlett, Braydon Beasley, and Simeon O’Neil. Finishing 6th and 7th were Kole Pultorak and Jack Deckman. The Ladies were led by Ellie Bryant finishing first followed by Aubrey Herrington, Madison Greenway, Lilah Donath and Danaia Aubertine. Special congrats to seniors Aiden Bartlett and Atreyu DeFalco on their final home meet. The Tigers travel to Utica Saturday for the EJ Hermann Invitational. Go Tigers!!

Congratulations to the Mexico Boys Cross Country Team for taking first place in the small school division at the Baldwinsville Invitational this past Saturday. First place for the Tigers was Kaedrian Johnson at 16:39, second place was Collin Fitzgerld with a 16:40, third place was Aiden Bartlett with a 17:40, fourth place was Simeon O’Neil with an 18:32, and 5th place was Braydon Beasley with an 18:34. Special congratulations to our 6th and 7th finishers Jack Deckman with a 19:41 and Aiden Silverio with a 19:42. The Team has their only home meet this Wednesday against Cortland at the Middle School. Today is National Rice Krispies Treats Day

 

Congratulations to the Mexico Boys Cross Country Team on their victory over Chittenango last night. The Tigers took first, second, and third in their race to beat their competition by 21 points scoring 18 to 39. Our first second and third runners were Kaedrian Johnson, Aiden Bartlet, and Collin Fitzgerald all running a 17:38. Fourth place was Brayden Beasley with a time of 18:25, and 5th place was Simeon O’Neil with a time of 18:54. Special congratulations to Aiden Silverio and Kole Platek for picking up 6th and 7th place. The Tigers travel to Baldwinsville for an Invitational on Saturday.

Last night the boys soccer team defeated Carthage. The Tigers battled from a goal down with Ian Bigelow scoring to tie it for Tigers. In the second half, Toby Caroccio assisted Kyrom Johnson and the Tigers went on to win 2-1. Great job boys!

Today is National Greenpeace Day

 

Congratulations to the Mexico Boys Varsity Cross Country Team on taking 3rd place out of 19 teams at the ESM Invitational this past Saturday. Their two losses for to class A teams. The top five finishers for the boys were Collin Fitzgerald with 16:50, Kaedrian Johnson with 17:17, Aiden Bartlett with 18:36, Simeon O’Neil with 19:14, and Kole Platek with 19:42. Our 6th and 7th were Jack Deckman with 20:44 and Sam Gillespy with 20:58. Some of the boys took off over a minute from their times last season. The team travels to Skaneateles this Wednesday to battle Chittenango. Go Tigers!!

Congrats to the boys golf team on their victory vs Phoenix last night with a score of 224.  Tanner Bellomo led the way with a season low and sectional qualifying score of 39. Lucas Parkhurst also shot a personal best of 43.

Huge shoutout to the Mexico Football team Friday night for delivering a knockout punch to rival Oswego buccaneers.  Mexico was in control the entire contest and pitched a shutout until only 19 seconds remained.  Game MVP was Brayden Mack who ran for over 150 yards, passed for another 100 and finished the night with multiple tackles and two interceptions.  Tigers are 1-0 on the year and travel to the defending champs Phoenix Friday night!  Go Tigers!

Congratulations to the Mexico Varsity Boys Cross Country Team on their performance at the Mustang Invitational in West Winfield this Saturday. The boys took 7th overall out of 24 teams placing at the top of their class only losing to class A teams. Our top five finishers are as follows: first place for the Tigers was Collin Fitzgerald finishing 16th with a 16:46, second was Kaedrian Johnson finishing 33rd with a 17:14, third was Braydon Beasley placing 43rd with a 17:26, fourth was Aiden Bartlett finishing 73rd with a 18:05, and fifth was Simeon O’Neil finishing 119th with a 19:00. Shout-out to Kole Platek and Aiden Silverio for achieving 6th and 7th place to help the scoring. Great start to the season, boys!! Go Tigers!

The Tiger Terrace is open to students Monday through Thursday from 12:00 - 1:30, starting today!

Any student interested in participating in the Oswego County Battle of the Books should see Mrs. Lasnicki in the Pierce Library this week.
