Cap Project Update: 7/29/26

Dear MACS Family and Community,
It’s hard to believe, but Capital Project 2023 has been in the works for awhile now—and thanks to your patience and support, we are seeing significant progress across the district.
Currently, window replacement is underway in all district buildings, including any necessary abatement work. At the High School, contractors are replacing slate sections of the roof and refurbishing the elevator.
We are also pleased to share that the pedestrian bridge connecting Mexico Elementary School and the High School has been replaced, and crews are now completing work on the bridge deck. At the Middle School, replacement of the concrete steps has delayed some of the paving work, but we are actively addressing that issue so the remaining paving can move forward.
As we approach the start of the school year, you can expect to see a flurry of activity throughout the district as contractors work diligently to complete as much work as possible before students and staff return. Thank you for your continued patience and support as we invest in our facilities and create improved learning environments for our students and staff.

Sincerely,
Dr. Runner
Superintendent of Schools
