Capital Project 2023 Update

Dear MACS Family and Community,

As we continue to make progress on the Capital Project 2023, I’m pleased to share an update on the work currently underway. Our recent efforts have focused on enhancing safety and accessibility across the district. This includes upgrading the emergency notification systems to ensure timely communication in critical situations and repairing the front steps at the High School to provide a safer and more welcoming entrance for students, staff, and visitors. These improvements reflect our ongoing commitment to creating a secure and supportive learning environment for all.

Mexico High School

• Masonry Contractor worked on the front steps patio repair filling expansion joints,  and cleaning stone. This finished the left side of the patio and began work on the right side.
  
• Contractor moved the winter weather enclosure to the right side of the patio. They then continued to dry out the masonry.
  
• Condensate pipes in the boiler room were insulated.
• Day Automation Continues to work throughout the district working on the security switch over, camera systems, camera mapping, door access controls. This system is not operational until Day Automation has done their final testing and perform the training to the School District.
• We had an elevator pre-installation meeting at the High School to go over the details with the General Contractor, their subcontractor, electrician, and the architect.
