Mexico High School to be featured on NewsChannel9's Friday Morning Lights 9/11

Mexico High School and Mexico Academy and Central School District will be featured on NewsChannel9’s Friday Morning Lights on Friday, Sept. 11.
NewsChannel9’s crew will arrive early Friday morning, and check in live throughout the 6-7 a.m. hour, as the Mexico High School football field becomes the backdrop for the station’s live morning broadcasts. Students will begin arriving around 5:30 a.m., ready to bring plenty of Tiger pride and school spirit to viewers across the region.
The NewsChannel9 team will broadcast from Mexico Academy Athletic Stadium, with several segments featuring students and members of the school community. Viewers can expect weather updates, conversations with students, athletes, musicians, cheerleaders, club members and administrators, along with plenty of opportunities to see the energy and excitement of MACS.
The broadcasts will also showcase student performances and school spirit, including appearances by groups such as the band, cheerleaders and student section. As the morning newscast wraps up around 7 a.m., the Mexico community will have one final opportunity to send viewers off with plenty of Tiger pride.
Following the broadcast, students will enjoy breakfast at the outdoor concession stand before heading inside to begin their school day.
