MACS recognizes 550 years of service in 2026 retirees

The Mexico Academy & Central School District is proud to honor the educators and staff members who are set to retire at the conclusion of the 2025–26 school year.
Each retiree was recognized during the June Board of Education Business Meeting on June 18, where those in attendance were congratulated by the board and presented with a certificate of appreciation for their service to the district.
“Together, this year’s retirees represent 550 years of service to our students, families and school community,” said MACS Superintendent Dr. Donna Runner. “Their dedication, compassion and commitment have helped shape countless lives and strengthened our district in immeasurable ways. We are deeply grateful for all they have given to Mexico Academy & Central School District and wish them nothing but happiness and fulfillment in retirement.”
The 2025–26 retirees include:
Rita Anderson (bus driver), Shirley Arroway-Betts (social worker), Jeanne Baldwin (special education teacher), Marlow Cuyler (physical education teacher), Elizabeth DiCosimo (assistant superintendent of teaching and learning), Ruth Faivre (bus driver), Heather Fravor (teaching assistant), Belinda Henderson (school monitor), Terri Herrington (senior typist), Kim Jeffries (teaching assistant), Cindy Kotwas (bus driver), Sherry Ladd (teacher aide), Sandra Langer (school monitor), Andrew MacDonald (technology teacher), Elizabeth McIntosh (science teacher), David Maidens (art teacher), Anthony Murabito (math teacher), Teresa Reid (teaching assistant), James Rhinehart (LAN technician), Dale Rice (bus garage auto mechanic), Shannon Thompson (cleaner) and Kimberly Waldron (senior typist).
