Mexico High School Students of the Month: April 2026

We are proud to recognize our April Students of the Month for their outstanding effort, leadership, and positive impact on our school community. Congratulations to these exceptional Golden Tigers!
🐯 Golden Tiger – Samuel Britton
Sam is an excellent representation of the very best of MHS. He is hardworking, motivated, friendly, and actively involved in our school community. Sam demonstrates strong school spirit and consistently supports those around him. He is a respectful and positive communicator with both peers and adults, always showing kindness and diplomacy. Notably, Sam went above and beyond to support a foreign exchange student, helping him navigate both language and culture. He is knowledgeable, driven, and preparing for a college path that aligns well with his strengths. Sam is truly an asset to MHS!
📚🎨 English & Fine Arts – Seanna Twiss
Seanna is excelling in her OCC104 dual enrollment English course, where she stands out as an introspective, organized, and creative writer. Her ability to think outside the box and provide thoughtful analysis, along with her attention to detail and strong work ethic, make her a valued member of the English Department.
In Fine Arts, Seanna continues to exceed expectations through her advanced conceptual thinking, technical skill, and passion for learning. As President of the National Art Honor Society, she has demonstrated outstanding leadership through fundraising and community outreach. Her curiosity, motivation, and kindness make her a role model among her peers.
🛠️ Career & Technical Education (CTE) – Judah Taylor
Judah has gone above and beyond in Tech, mastering new skills, embracing challenges, and supporting his classmates. His ability to take what he has learned and teach others speaks to his leadership and deep understanding.
🔬 Science – Jaxson Ellis
Jaxson has earned recognition through his consistent effort, positive attitude, and respectful behavior. He takes pride in his work, actively participates, and is always willing to help others. His kindness and leadership make the classroom a better place every day.
📊 Math – Olivia DeStevens
Olivia works hard to genuinely understand the material in her math classes, going above and beyond simply completing assignments. When concepts are challenging, she asks thoughtful questions and seeks clarification. She is also quick to support classmates who need help. Her strong work ethic, helpful nature, and success in advanced math courses make her an excellent role model and standout math student.
🌍 World Languages – Madalynn Tunis
Maddie is one of the most responsible and driven students at MHS. She maintains excellent grades while leading the JROTC program, teaching and participating in dance, and recently completing her Seal of Biliteracy presentation. Maddie’s positivity, work ethic, and willingness to help others make a lasting impact on our school community.
🍳 Family & Consumer Sciences (FACS) – Ariana Bartle
Ariana demonstrates a strong “can-do” attitude and consistently works hard in class. She approaches challenges with enthusiasm, maintains a positive mindset during labs, and asks thoughtful questions to support her learning and success.
🌎 Social Studies – Cameron Hoxie
Cameron is a class leader who consistently works to the best of her ability. Her dedication and effort set a strong example for her peers.
🏀⚾ PE/Athletics – Carter Robert
Carter exemplifies excellence both on and off the field. While his athletic performance in baseball has been outstanding, what truly sets him apart is his character. He consistently demonstrates integrity, responsibility, and a commitment to growth in the classroom. Carter is a supportive teammate, a respectful peer, and a student who lives out the “Tiger Way” each day. His empathy, leadership, and dedication make him highly deserving of this recognition.
