9th Grade Orientation welcomes Class of 2029 to the high school

Mexico High School was filled with excitement this week as the Class of 2029 gathered for Ninth Grade Orientation.
The event gave incoming ninth graders the opportunity to explore the building, meet teachers and staff, and get a feel for their new surroundings before the first day of school.
Principal Christopher Soluri and Assistant Principal Shawn Parkhurst gave a presentation for students, and then a number of faculty and staff were on hand to greet students, answer questions and help them feel comfortable as they begin this next chapter of their education.
The orientation was designed to ease the transition from middle school to high school, providing students with the tools and confidence to start their journey on the right foot.
“Mexico High School is excited to welcome the Class of 2029 and looks forward to seeing all they will accomplish in the years ahead,” said Mr. Soluri.
The first day of school for all students at Mexico Academy & Central Schools is Wednesday, Sept. 3.
