Hires at elementary schools put an SRO in every MACS building

Mexico Academy & Central School District now has five School Resource Officers, one at every building.
The SROs help maintain building security and safety while also forming bonds with the students and teachers to serve as another resource for students to come to with concerns or to just provide another ear to listen.
The newest SROs in the elementary schools include Jim Bartosek (Mexico Elementary), Andrew Reed (Palermo Elementary) and Sobrina Vazquez (New Haven Elementary). They join Mike Martin at Mexico High School and Jamey Locastro at Mexico Middle School, both familiar faces around the schools and district.
