9/11/25

Today is National Hot Cross Bun Day

 

Class meetings will take place today for 11th Grade 1st block and 10th Grade 2nd block.

 

Congrats to the boys golf team on their victory vs Phoenix last night with a score of 224.  Tanner Bellomo led the way with a season low and sectional qualifying score of 39. Lucas Parkhurst also shot a personal best of 43.

 

3:00 to 5:00 pm Math tutoring will take place today 9/11 in room 215 with Mr. Haskins. 

For this school year, weekly there will be Math tutoring every Tues-Thurs from 3-5. Tues. & Thurs.’s in room 215 with Mr. Haskins and Wed.’s in room 223 with Mr. Powers.

 

JROTC cadets, Unselfishness practice is today! Awards and promotions today at 215. Come support Come support your teammates!

 

Freshmen class! Please turn in your voting forms by this Friday the 12th to Mrs. Wilcox in the main office. There are extra sheets if you need one.

 

There will be a GAPP meeting for all students traveling to Germany, in Senora Pallotta’s room, room 130, at 2:15 on Monday 9/15.

 

Sophomores:  The first sophomore class meeting will be after school on Monday, September 15th in Mrs. Gibson's room, 120.

 

Junior Class: The fall mum fundraiser is underway and will end Wednesday, September 17th!  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Wheeler.

Today is National TV Dinner Day

Do you want to help student’s make better choices? Do you want to bring awareness to positive mental health strategies? Do you want to help plan this year’s Mock DWI? Join SADD Club! Our first meeting will be today 9/10 in room 202 from 2:15-2:45. See Miss LaVerne with any questions!

Junior Class: The fall mum fundraiser is underway and will end Wednesday, September 17th!  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Wheeler.

Today is International Sudoku Day

The JV and Varsity Volleyball teams travelled to Chittenango last night. The girls played tough but came up short. Wish them luck as we travel to Weedsport on Friday night.

There is a Friends of Rachel Club meeting today after school in Miss Brown's Room 104. Everyone is welcome! Please stop by to learn more about FOR Club!

Today is National Star Trek Day

Huge shoutout to the Mexico Football team Friday night for delivering a knockout punch to rival Oswego buccaneers.  Mexico was in control the entire contest and pitched a shutout until only 19 seconds remained.  Game MVP was Brayden Mack who ran for over 150 yards, passed for another 100 and finished the night with multiple tackles and two interceptions.  Tigers are 1-0 on the year and travel to the defending champs Phoenix Friday night!  Go Tigers!

Congratulations to the Mexico Varsity Boys Cross Country Team on their performance at the Mustang Invitational in West Winfield this Saturday. The boys took 7th overall out of 24 teams placing at the top of their class only losing to class A teams. Our top five finishers are as follows: first place for the Tigers was Collin Fitzgerald finishing 16th with a 16:46, second was Kaedrian Johnson finishing 33rd with a 17:14, third was Braydon Beasley placing 43rd with a 17:26, fourth was Aiden Bartlett finishing 73rd with a 18:05, and fifth was Simeon O’Neil finishing 119th with a 19:00. Shout-out to Kole Platek and Aiden Silverio for achieving 6th and 7th place to help the scoring. Great start to the season, boys!! Go Tigers!

The Tiger Terrace is open to students Monday through Thursday from 12:00 - 1:30, starting today!

Any student interested in participating in the Oswego County Battle of the Books should see Mrs. Lasnicki in the Pierce Library this week.
