I am writing to inform you about a recent increase in fake social media threats circulating on platforms such as Snapchat, TikTok, and Facebook across New York State and other regions. Law enforcement agencies are aware of these hoaxes, and superintendents have received a letter from the New York State Intelligence Center (NYSIC) detailing their ongoing investigation. These threats have been confirmed as fake by law enforcement.

Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our students and staff. We are committed to following our established safety protocols and procedures in response to any potential threat, which includes timely communication with families.
