Dear MACS Family and Community,

As we embark on a new school year, I am filled with excitement and optimism for the opportunities that lie ahead. Our vision of inspiring excellence and leadership in all our students remains at the forefront of our mission. We are committed to instructing the whole child, offering a robust academic curriculum, and providing multiple opportunities in sports, fine arts, JROTC, clubs and other extracurricular activities.

Partnering with you as parents and families is crucial to our success. Your involvement and support play a significant role in the educational journey of your children. Together, we can create a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters growth and achievement.

In our continuous effort to enhance the learning environment, we are implementing a more stringent cell phone protocol for the coming school year:

CELLPHONE PROTOCOLS – NEW 2024-2025

Due to the disruptive nature of cellphones in the educational environment and their significant impact on harassment and bullying, the school permits cellphone use only before and after school, during passing time between classes, and during lunch for students in grades 5-12. Elementary school students must keep their phones in their backpacks at all times during the instructional day. Cellphones should not be visible or used during class unless explicitly instructed by the teacher for an instructional activity.

We believe these measures will help create a more focused and respectful learning environment for all students.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR UPK-8 PROVIDED BY MACS

As a reminder the district is purchasing school supplies for all students in grades pre-K-8! High School students needing supplies can reach out to Principal Soluri or Assistant Principal Wylie.

PARENTSQUARE REMINDER

Don’t forget to sign up for ParentSquare, our new communication system. ParentSquare is a two-way communication system designed to enhance our interaction with you. To access our district directory, complete forms, and engage in digital communication with us, please activate your ParentSquare account. We have sent account invitation emails periodically throughout the summer. Activating your account will also enable you to set your notification preferences, allowing you to choose how you receive non-emergency communications from us—via text, email, and/or the app.
