Dear MACS Family,

I am writing to address a recent incident that has come to our attention at Mexico Middle School as a threatening list of student names was discovered.

We understand the concern and fear such an incident can cause. However, I want to assure you that this threat has been thoroughly investigated and found to be non-credible.

Upon discovery of the list, we immediately involved the local police department. They have conducted an investigation and are dealing appropriately with the students who created the list. We are fully cooperating with the police in their ongoing comprehensive investigation to ensure the safety of all our students and staff. These behaviors will not be tolerated. In addition to any possible legal ramifications, the school district will take disciplinary action as identified in the code of conduct.

The safety of our students and staff is, and always will be, our top priority. We have robust security protocols in place, which are working effectively. We are committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for our students to learn and grow.

We encourage parents and guardians to talk with their children about the seriousness of threats and the importance of reporting any information that may impact school safety.
