Middle School celebrates True Beauty Day

Students and staff packed the gym during two days of celebrating the True Beauty Project at Mexico Middle School.

Due to popular demand, the project aimed at promoting kindness and a positive body image was split into two days to accommodate all who wanted to participate.

True Beauty Day focuses on the belief that beauty is more than just what someone looks like and showcasing all the unique traits that make up the whole person.

Hundreds of students in total took part in the event, with fifth and sixth grade students taking part one day followed by the seventh and eighth graders on another.

Among the numerous events in the gym during the celebration were photo opportunities with friends, writing positive messages about other classmates, cookie decorating, face painting, giant Jenga, feats of strength and more.
