Andrea Searles

  • Hello, my name is Andrea Searles.  I grew-up in New Haven where I attended, and graduated from the Mexico School District.  I feel honored to have the opportunity to return to the district as a classroom teacher.  I attended Oswego State University for my Bachelors and Masters degree and have my certification in Childhood Education (1-6). I have been with the Mexico district since 2014 and I began teaching at New Haven Elementary School  in 2017.  Prior to returning to the Mexico District and joining the New Haven Elementary team, I taught fifth grade for eight years in Winston Salem, NC.

In my free time I enjoy many outdoor activities such as biking, swimming, hiking, playing volleyball, and spending time gardening.  I enjoy sewing and have made a quilt for each member of my family.  I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

My goal as a teacher is to provide an opportunity for all students to learn in an environment that is welcoming and fun as well as to instill a joy of learning.
