My name is Cathy Shawcross and I look forward to working with you at Mexico Middle School.  I have been working in the building for many years and continue to believe this is a great place to teach and learn.  I have had many years of experience at the 5th grade level and currently am working on a 3-person team teaching ELA.  In my classroom we work hard each day to improve our students' academic needs by using small and large group settings, using computer-based remediation programs, and providing reading materials that match student's interests and reading levels.  Each year I am amazed and proud of the growth our students make in the classrooms as learners and as citizens of our school community.
